Let me tell you a little about myself. In 1999 when a colleague of mine from my former career approached me about network marketing, I told him to go away, I would never get involved.
I really believed that I had become “one of those persons” who would never, ever join another network marketing company again. I love to say that I was wrong then, and that I am so glad I got out of my own way.

I had a love/hate relationship with network marketing. I loved what was possible, but I hated the fact that I did not make it after several attempts with other companies. When I finally figured out what I had done wrong, I was then finally in a position to get it right. This book is my way of paying it forward, with a mission to help as many over the finish line as I possibly can.
In my former attempts at network marketing—prior to finding the company that I have been with since 1999—I did not understand the correlation between hard work on the front end and the reward on the back end. I was a casualty because I neglected to do several things that would have ensured my success. These were:
- Stay the course until I had learned the skills to master the craft of network marketing.
- Give the business enough time to stabilize.
- Get clear on what it was that was important enough to me so that I would do the necessary work in order to achieve it.
